Lily and her 3 litter mates were my first fosters for GMDAP. They were barely 4 weeks old. 

She arrived to me literally half dead, listless, and malnourished. I had the 4 pups for a month and nursed Lily back to health. When the time came to transfer to Friendship APL, Lily was still too weak to withstand spay procedure. So, I called Karen and said what do I do? Karen replied, what do you want to do? So I kept Lily. 

Lily is now a retired Hospice therapy dog. She spent 2 years creating miracles (I witnessed them!!!) opening windows of communication for non verbal patients, comforting grieving family members, and providing a calm for patients in agitated states.
