About five years ago, City Dogs Cleveland rescued Amber from a backyard where she was tied up and neglected. Soon after, Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups (GMDAP) welcomed her and her two puppies into our care — finally giving her the love she deserved. 💞

But tragedy struck. A devastating fire broke out where Amber and her pups were being housed. In a desperate attempt to save her babies, Amber suffered severe burns and lost both of her puppies. 💔

What happened next is what our rescue community is all about — it takes a village. 🐾

Our amazing partners at Friendship APL stepped in, helping nurse Amber back to health through her long and painful recovery. And she never gave up.

Today, Amber is thriving. She’s been adopted into a loving home where she runs charity races with her new family and has the run of the house — just as she should. 💗
