From a #GMDAP Foster: “When I first met this sweet puppy from Kentucky, something just didnāt seem right. He had a little limp, and I was told it was just a strainānothing serious. But deep down, I couldnāt shake the feeling that it was more. Trusting my gut, I took him to a vet, and it was there that we discovered the heartbreaking truth. Both knobs on his elbow were broken, likely from climbing out of his pen. There was no way to repair it, and the only option was to amputate his front leg.
I watched him endure his surgery, his recovery, and yet, despite everything, his spirit never wavered. He was resilient, full of life, and ready to love. That little guy reminded me every day why fostering mattersābecause for every challenge, there’s a new chance at hope.
After his recovery, something amazing happened. He found his forever family, a family who saw him not for what he lost but for the incredible soul that he is.
Today, heās thriving, living his best life, running on three legs as if he never missed a beat!
This is just one of many stories like his, and itās why I foster for Geauga Mama Dogs and Pups (GMDAP). We provide care for dogs that might otherwise be overlooked, and now, we have the chance to do even more through the #EmbraceCLE Community Challenge. With your support, we can continue giving pups like this sweet boy the second chance they deserve”
