Alright, buckle up, folks, because fostering isn’t all cuddles and puppy breath—sometimes it’s pure chaos with a side of desperation. Meet former foster, Sparrow, a 7-week-old peanut with some serious eating issues. This little dude and his 8 siblings were pulled from their 100-pound bully momma (Trumbull County Dog Warden shoutout 👋) after she decided, “Motherhood? Nah.” She started getting snippy and wouldn’t let them feed. Not exactly the cozy family vibe we hoped for.

So the pups were split between three fosters, and I got Sparrow and two of his brothers. Right off the bat, I noticed Sparrow was skinnier than his bros—and he just would not eat. 😨 Cue the panic. I threw every trick in the book at him:

🐔 Chicken and rice? “Nah, I’m good.”

🥩Boiled ground meat? “I said NO, human.”

🍖Liver? “Mmm, okay, maybe.”

🥣Emeraid high-protein mix? “Yasss, finally, the fancy stuff I deserve!”

Meanwhile, I’m sitting here stress-Googling and texting the #GMDAP crew at all hours, looking for advice. Turns out, one of Sparrow’s sisters was struggling too, and sadly, she didn’t make it. 💔 At that point, I was ready to break out my chef’s hat and hand-feed this diva anything he wanted! Thankfully, Emeraid did the trick, and Sparrow FINALLY started eating regular puppy food like a champ.

Fast forward a few weeks, and this little guy found his forever family! 🎉He may have been the last of his litter to get adopted, but now he’s living his best life—and based on the updates, he’s caught up in size and weight with his siblings. Way to glow up, Sparrow! 🌟🐾
